HTMLThumbnail - HTMLThumbnail creates index pages of the graphic file content of directories on Unix based web servers. It generates real thumbnail images (not just mis-sizing the images) that are typically around 1-2% of the byte count of the originals (thus letting you see them 50 - 100 times as fast). It works with both JPEG and GIF images, supports 'incremental change' updating to allow easy adding of new images (or modifying of old ones) without wastingsting a lot of time regenerating the index for every image. It also supports optional linking to the original images, drop shadows, rotation of the final icon, and image borders. Essentially all setting are command line adjustable. Price: LGPL Image Display System - IDS is a CGI CGI written in Perl that generates a photo album website on the fly. All you need to provide are the images and (optionally) text descriptions. As you add new pictures, they will appear automatically. Each image will be displayed with information such as image type, file size, image size, and date uploaded. If EXIF information is embedded in the image (shutter speed, aperature, focal length, etc.), it will be displayed. It will create thumbnail preview images for JPEG, PNG, and GIF images. It will also recognize and display QuickTime movies, MPEG movies, and MP3 files. IDS uses HTML templates, so you can easily customize the look of your site. Price: $59 ImageIndexer - The image-index script is a simple low-quality script written in Perl that allows you to display category-based thumbnail images. Upon clicking it displays a full-size image and also supports description for each image. Price: Free Imagell - Imagell is an automated system to serve a catagory-based picture library online. Features include: HTML customisation, keyword searching, hitcounting and ranking, web-based admin and web-based image uploading. Price: AU$80.00 indexpage.pl - indexpage.pl generates one or more index pages and the corresponding thumbnails for displaying images on the web. If there are more images available than will fit on one page with the specified number of rows and columns, indexpage.pl will generate more than one page, each with a navigator to easily reach the other pages. The pages will be called "index.html", "2.html", "3.html", and so on. There are lots of configuration options determining how the generated pages should look. Image descriptions are read from a file, eliminating the need to ever edit the files after generating them; they can always be regenerated for ease of maintaining. It creates thumbnail images for you with very little effort on your part. Users select from a list of categories generated on the fly and are presented with a tableized view of images to choose from. When the user clicks on an image, they are presented with the full size image. Price: $800 Led-Full Image - This script allows you to display (link to) full images and still keep them in your template design by using SSI's and cgi executes. All this allows you to dynamically generate seemingly individual pages for each image (which would normally be a lot of work). Price: Free LinkMaker - Linkmaker is a set of scripts which allow anyone to maintain a gallery post site with minimal effort. The script is designed for the adult content industry, but could easily be modified to have many useful applications.
