mail-log.cgi - mail-log.cgi scri script saves access date+time, your visitor's host name, their IP address and browser type, the referring page (if any) and the file name of the page that called the script to a log file on the server. After a given number of log entries this file will be automatically mailed to your mailbox. You can change the mailing interval according to your needs. The default interval is every 50 accesses to the page(s) to be logged. Analysing a proxy server, pwebstats produces information for both the hosts accessing the server and those accessed by the server, statistics for individual pages or collections using powerful PERL pattern matching, and more. The beauty of this script and why I wrote it is that it creates log files in an accepted standard format (including remote host, date and time, page requested, bytes sent, referer, browser and operating system) so that you can use any standard log analysis program. Price: Free Reference Logger - Reference Logger is written to simply open up a standard reference log and print out only the lines that show hits from outside your site. It also prints them as links, so you can just click to view the sites linking to you. This is particualry helpful when the link is provided from a search engine, as you can go right to that page and see what keywords were used, and what listing you received. Price: Free
